California has no shortage of housing challenges. Just ask anyone who lives here.
High rents, skyrocketing home prices, and a growing homelessness crisis are just a few of the pressures people face in this state. Living in California comes at a high cost – and housing is one of the most pressing issues.
Is it possible to house everyone who wants to be housed in California? Can we make renting and purchasing homes more affordable for all? Can we nudge people off the streets and into homes? And how can we ensure that the homes we build are sustainable, environmentally conscious, and resilient in the face of climate change? These are the tough questions we need to answer.
Over the next few months, I’ll be diving into these issues in my blog posts – exploring potential solutions, sharing real stories, and discussing how we can make both renting and purchasing a home more affordable and sustainable for all Californians. I’ll also explore how working with innovative architecture and design can help us build homes that are both eco-friendly and equipped to withstand the challenges of a changing climate.
