The past three months have been a full-on testimony to one thing: Old-School Democrats need to step aside and hand the reins to a new wave of Dems who are willing to get scrappy.

This is a long time coming.

Since the Inauguration of the Trump Regime, our elder, mostly white, male, states-people Democrats have been sitting on their hands watching, in what? Disbelief? Horror? Whimsy? Sometimes it’s difficult to tell.

Their solution to this current nightmare? Wait until midterm elections. But we won’t even be sure that we are having midterm elections until after they’ve actually happened.

Yes, we do get a politician poking their head up every now and then, rising above the noise. Senator Corey Booker gave his 25-hour speech on the Senate floor passionately calling out the Administration while uplifting the soul of America. Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett no holds barred style of telling things like they are and calling fellow CongressPeople on their bullshit is a sight to behold. And then there is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders on their relentless tour for democracy – riling up the masses and pulling down fences.

California currently has 16 lawsuits filed against the Trump Regime. That’s a start! I know that other states have filed a few lawsuits filed as well, but we need more. Many more.

What we need yesterday is the energy of a new group of Democrats. Feisty. No-bullshit. Muck-rakers. With pitchforks! Progressive new Leaders who can look at all angles of a situation and find the solution with 24-hours rather than 2-years, or 4-years in Garland’s case. Notice I did not say younger? Age is not applicable here – energy, fortitude, and willingness to get to work are. We need those who want to stay in office, or to be elected to a new post, that are willing to make an attitude adjustment.

We need to level up in this currently toxic game.
